Founded in 2021 in Santee, SC,  near beautiful Lake Marion, Winston Rivers was created with a simple vision: to offer a thoughtfully curated shopping experience where style, quality, and exceptional service come together under one roof. We wanted to bring something special to Santee—something our community needed and deserved.

Now for the story behind our name

Winston Rivers is named after our beloved fur baby, Winston—a rare liver-colored schnauzer with a story all his own. At just nine weeks old, he was surrendered to a shelter and was considered a “pound puppy” for only about 15 minutes before becoming part of our family. From the very beginning, he brought joy, loyalty, personality, and an incredible amount of love into our lives. His sweet spirit, unwavering companionship, and the happiness he brings to our family made naming our store after him feel especially meaningful.

The vision for Winston Rivers actually began with my husband. His dream was to create something meaningful that would not only bring me out of the teaching profession, but also fill a need in our Santee community by offering products and brands that simply were not available here. What started as an idea soon grew into something much bigger—a dream brought fully to life.

Today, Winston Rivers is more than just a store. It is built on family, faith, relationships, and community. We believe shopping should feel warm, personal, and inspiring. We want every customer who walks through our doors—or shops with us online—to feel valued, cared for, and right at home.

Helping customers feel confident is one of our greatest joys. There is nothing better than watching someone find the perfect outfit, seeing their confidence grow, and watching them walk out feeling their absolute best.
